The Arbor Motel was built in the 1970s, in the distinctive architectural style of its day. Built to capture great sun, and provide spacious accommodation, it is a gem we think will improve with age!
It changed ownership in early 2018 with new local owners, recognising the potential of this sunny and light accommodation, just a few minutes’ walk from the vibrant hub of Greytown country village.
We are Greytown residents, and being locals, are excited and take great pride in welcoming increasing numbers of guests to enjoy our fast-growing and very dynamic town. The Greytown community is warm and close and we are proud to be part of it.
We have been making some gradual changes to the motel to ensure greater comfort and improved accommodation services. We have updated the furnishings, purchased new bedding, new televisions, some new beds and done some behind-the-scenes work too. We are currently modernising the units, while retaining and celebrating its classic mid-century features which we love!
We’ve made some sneaky trips to far-off places to check out how buildings of a similar era have been modernised and we have some new ideas. As they say, it won’t happen overnight, but it will happen!
We have forged a positive and fun working arrangement with the lively and friendly owners of the Greytown Hotel. Because we don’t live on-site, the Hotel staff manage our bookings and check-ins for us and have a great presence around the motel.
We think the proximity and comfort of the motel is second to no other and we hope guests will want to come back time and again. Step by step, it can only get better.
